Roam Protein Powder for athletes
Protein powders are a great nutritional tool for any athlete. Distributed evenly across the day and consumed in sufficient amounts, protein will help to repair muscle tissue after exercise, stimulate muscle growth (i.e. build lean muscle), improve performance, and assist with weight control and fat burning. Protein can also serve as a source of energy for the human body.
While the greatest benefits of protein consumption for recovery come when it is consumed post-workout, it can be used pre-workout and during exercise to maintain the balance between protein intake and how much protein is used by your body to function.
Roam Protein also carries the HASTA label, which means that every batch of protein that we produce is independently tested for over 250 substances that are banned by the World Anti Doping Agency (WADA).
Is it good or healthy to drink protein powders every day?
Yes! There is no risk associated with daily consumption of protein powder. In fact, there are many advantages to including it as a regular part of your diet. It's low in fat and carbohydrates, and is an easy way to meet your daily protein requirements.
It's quite difficult to consume 20 grams of protein in a single serving. You'd have to eat a whole can of chickpeas or 3 to 4 eggs! And when you do the math, vegan protein powder works out as an economical and practical way to give your body the nutrition that it needs, in a convenient form.
I'm not plant-based. Isn't whey protein supposed to be superior to pea protein?
Plant-based, vegan, whatever you want to call it - that's us!
Pea protein is not a complete protein, because it only has a small amount of the essential amino acid, methionine. But this shouldn't be an issue if you are consuming a well-balanced diet. In terms of protein quality, it is on par with whey protein isolate (the purest form of whey protein).
Comparable results have been observed between pea and whey protein isolates for muscle protein synthesis, building lean muscle, and performance.
Pea protein has many benefits - its dairy free, vegan, low in sugar and calories, and easy to digest. If you're after an optimum protein powder that ticks all the boxes, look no further!
